I enjoyed using these sponges to exfoliate my face in my morning and evening routine....it doesn't have the harshness of more abrasive cleansers or else the potential to alter your skin tone too much with the chemical/AHA liquids. Now I use these when I travel, as well as for a mid-day cleansing if my face feels oily and I don't have on makeup that I have to redo.
The Konjac sponge provides mild exfoliation benefits while it deep cleans, removes all traces of makeup without chemicals, absorbs excess oils, and draws toxins out from deep within the skin's layers. This is even excellent for sensitive skin since it isn't abrasive at all....you achieve a more "natural" daily exfoliation; it is also safe enough to use twice a day. Since purchasing my sponges, however, I have found that the Clarisonic facial cleansing device actually does a more efficient job in exfoliating my skin without my having to work vigorously by hand. I still use the Konjac sponges during weeks when I apply a chemical peel -- I try and keep the exfoliation to a minimum and only around day 3 or so do I begin manually exfoliate with the Konjac sponge. With that being said, not everyone is willing to spend $100 on a Clarisonic device so this would be a close second in my opinion. Instructions are easy to follow. The first time you use it you just have to be sure to soak it in warm water for 3 to 5 minutes. Replace each sponge every 1 or 2 months since your skin particles are embedded in the fibers.
I love konjac sponges and this one is not an exception to all the other ones I love. Green tea is great for balancing the skin, so for anyone who may have combination or oily skin, this is a great sponge to get started with! Konjac sponges provide gentle exfoliation and I find myself reaching for this more than my clarisonic (which can be rough on skin).
